Captive Fastener Corporation is compliant with the criteria required by the European Union RoHS directive, as it applies to certain restricted hazardous substances in the fasteners we currently manufacture.

Material and finish content of the Captive Fastener products does not exceed the acceptable levels allowed for Lead, Mercury, Cadmium, Hexavalent Chromium, PBB, PBDE, DEHP, BBP, DBP AND DIBP. Also, our standard passivation process for stainless steel components complies with RoHS requirements.

Most Captive Fastener standard catalog products are RoHS 3 (2015/863/EU) compliant.

Exceptions are listed below:

• CFFS & CFFC series,  The inner nut has Dry Film Lube over Cadmium Chromate
• CFE & CFEO Series.  Standard Finish Dry Film Lube over Cadmium
• Cadmium Plating Finish (CC, CB, CI, EF)
• Dacromet Plating Finish (DM)
• Tin Lead Plating Finish (TL)

Non- Standard Catalog Items:

• NASM (M45938/11)

Please note that a small portion of our steel products with zinc chromate in our current inventory may contain a hexavalent chromate finish. If it is necessary to receive RoHS 3  (2015/863/EU) compliant product, be sure to indicate this requirement when ordering and we will provide it.
